Mark Guthrie
Senior Vice President - HR North American Operations, The Hertz Corporation
In his last role at GE, Mark was responsible for Global Employee Relations practices across GE’s non-union operations of approximately 270,000 employees. His responsibilities included: maintaining union-free status anywhere in the world employees had the choice to work union-free; delivering positive employee relations leadership training; conducting site and operational assessments; active involvement with mergers, acquisitions and divestitures; providing corporate-wide oversight for all restructuring initiatives within non-union operations; and collaborating with GE leaders to promote positive employee relations programs across the globe. After 32+ years at GE, Mark retired January 1, 2014.
In November 2014, Mark joined Keurig Green Mountain, a leader in specialty coffee, teas, coffee makers, drink makers and beverages, as Vice President of HR for the Global Supply Chain. His global responsibilities included providing full HR strategy and support for the KGM product supply team of approximately 5,000 employees covering manufacturing, engineering, quality, Lean Six Sigma, logistics, procurement, Keurig Trading Company, Keurig-Bevyz and Asia operations. Mark amicability left Keurig Green Mountain in August 2016 following JAB Partners’ acquisition of the Company.
In September 2016, Mark established A. Mark Guthrie & Associates, a labor and employee relations consultancy group that provides HR strategy and positive employee relations programs for several Fortune 100 firms.
In March 2018, Mark joined Hertz based in Estero, FL – providing full HR strategy and support to the North American Ops team of approximately 26,000 employees at Hertz, Dollar, and Thrifty airport locations, Hertz Local Edition off-airport locations, Hertz auto sales, Donlen, and TNC operations.
Mark holds a B.A. in English and Journalism from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and an M.B.A. from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington.
